Citizen's Arrest Caught on Camera
Our student Ken C. did an outstanding job at controlling his emotions, adrenaline, and the suspect. He sliced the pie, kept his composure and used his command presence to intimidate a very dangerous felon. One less lowlife criminal on the streets to hurt, rob or steal! Great job Ken, making Campbell Defense Academy look great!
STAY SAFE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Channel 8 News Now Crime Tracker has contacted us once again for tips on how to protect he citizens of Las Vegas. "The issue is that whether they're running around their block that they think is a safe neighborhood or going to their local gym where they have a membership, anytime that it's later at night, it's going to be a little bit more dangerous," said Allison Campbell. Allison Campbell has been teaching self-defense in Las Vegas for the past four years. She offers free classes to victims of domestic violence and other crimes. "It's just important that you protect yourself and your family," Campbell said. Campbell recommends carrying a weapon to protect yourself. Campbell hopes everyone will take those basic precautions to be safe. "When it comes to crime, criminals tend to steer towards women because they think of them as a soft target," Campbell added. "Every once in a while, take a check back, make sure that nobody is following you. When you start running forward, make sure that you're scanning your area."
